At the belly of an Apache helicopter

Three-dimensional visualisation and spatial abilities are crucial for engineering design. At Qatar University, we are excited to use virtual reality to train students in developing those skills.

The system we use is a state of the art 4-sided cave automatic virtual environment (CAVE). The price tag is a cool US$1 million.

In the video, you will see a part of an introductory session where students had their first trial of the VR system exploring an Apache helicopter.
